Muriel Buras Bufkin peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Peter C. Buras by first marriage and Julius Bufkin by second marriage. Daughter of the late Johnny Buras and Alice Bubrig Buras. Loving mother of Damien Buras (Donna), Ray Buras (Gail), Odessa Buras Galmiche (Huey) and the late Mitchell Buras (Survived by Sandra), Ronald Buras and Mary Buras Tompkins (Survived by Gerald). Beloved grandmother of Joshua, Huey Paul, Anita, Peter, Alanna, Yvonne, Ronald, Rhonda, Miranda, Christina, Cortney, Joseph and the late Mary Galmiche. Also survived by 28 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Sister of Nathalie Willie, Winnifred Willie, Marie Weaver, Vickie Martin and the late Wilfred Buras, Faye Judd and Muriel’s twin brother, Myle Buras. Muriel was a lifelong resident of Boothville, LA. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 9AM until 1PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
