Morris Joseph Albarado (Al) entered into Eternal Rest on March 23, 2021, at the age of 85. He was born in Belle Rose, Louisiana, and was a long-time resident of Marrero, Louisiana. He is survived by his beloved wife and other half of over 62 years, Marie. He is also survived by one daughter, Debra Albarado-Penalber (Doug), two grandchildren, Nicole Abadie (Nicholas, Sr.) and James Robertson, Jr., and three great grandchildren, Nicholas Abadie, Jr. and Priscilla and Maddox Robertson. He leaves behind two sisters-in-law, Nellie and Lorraine, and one brother-in-law, Cleveland. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lydia Albarado, his brothers and sisters, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. He was a proud member of the United States Marine Corp from 1956 to 1962. Upon his discharge from the Marines, he worked many years for Jefferson Parish until his retirement in 1985. He was devoted to his daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, attending as many of their events as he possibly could, from birthday parties and graduations to football and baseball games. He was a big sports fan, especially when it came to the Saints, LSU football and baseball, and the Houston Astros. He enjoyed bingo games, dog races, and casino getaways with his wife and other family members. He had a unique sense of humor, a giving spirit, and he will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, Louisiana at 11 am on Monday, March 29, 2021. Visitation will be held from 9 am to 11 am. Interment will be at Westlawn Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Ave., Gretna, Louisiana.
