Milton Matthew Treadway

February 25, 1923 — December 14, 2020

Milton M. Treadway passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 at the age of 97. Beloved husband of Margaret Dragon Treadway for 76 years. Father of Treva T. Cairns (Robert), Deborah T. Arnold (Joseph), Maureen T. Blackburn (James), Matthew M. Treadway and the late Deana T. Treadway. Son of the late Claire Landry Treadway and Elbridge Treadway. Brother of the late Eunice Despaux, Eula Branch, Luther, Russell, Eldridge, Calvin and Clifford Treadway. Also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, a host of loving friends, nieces, nephews and other relatives. He proudly served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II as a paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division, The Angels. He was a member of the VFW of Port Sulphur and the American Legion of Covington. He was a lifelong resident of Plaquemines Parish. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 11am. Visitation will be held Friday morning from 9am until 11am. Due to COVID 19, all attending must wear masks. Interment, St. Patrick Cemetery, Port Sulphur, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, support.woundedwarriorproject.org. Family and friends may view and sign the online guest book at www.mothefunerals.com .
