Michelle Bacon Joyner

Michelle Lynn Bacon Joyner entered eternal rest on August 3, 2021 at the age of 48. She was the beloved daughter of Nancy Bacon and the late Robert Lee Bacon Jr. Michelle was followed in death by her only child Michael Matthew Joyner, Jr (Dianne) whom she loved and adored and was her whole world.
She is survived by her siblings Stephanie Romano (Chad), Jonathan Bacon (Crystal), Holly Roberts, Joseph Bacon (Suzanne), and Albert Bacon (Kayla). She was the best Nana to her nieces and nephews that she loved very much Joshua (Claudia), Jacob, Alyssa, Emily, Brae’lynn, Chad, Jacody, Ma’Kayla, Ja’Corian, Jonathan, Sarah, Darrell (Courtney), William, Mason, Anson, and Gracelyn. Great nieces Selena, Natalia and great nephews Jayven and Kordell. She was the Godmother to Stacey Siemssen and the best friend of Lorena Siemssen and Connie Thornton. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Michelle was born in Cheverly, Maryland and resided in Bayou Vista, La but was raised in Gretna, La and proudly represented her 504.
Michelle was a loving daughter and would do anything for her mother. She was the best sister and was always there for everyone. Michelle was an avid LSU and Saints fan, loved to BBQ, and go camping at the lake. She was always there for everyone and was such a beacon of light and lit up any room she entered. Her smile and personality touched the hearts of anyone she met. Michelle will live forever not only in the hearts of everyone who loved her but especially in the hearts of her family.
Michelle was also a longtime employee of Wildcat Heavy Haul and will be greatly missed by her co-workers, customers, and drivers.
She was preceded in death by her father Robert Bacon, Jr., her maternal grandparents William and Drusilla Walker; paternal grandparents Robert and Evelyn Bacon, Sr., Uncles Steve Walker, David Bacon and Thomas Bacon. Aunts Leslie Lewis, Deborah Frank, Carol Whaley and Tyna Sheets and cousin Baylee Doughty.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey La from 11:30a-1:30p Interment will be private.
