Michael "Mickey" D. Walter, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the age of 77. Longtime loving companion of Janice Arabie. Father of Michael "Mike" D. Walter, Jr. (Mabeline). Son of the late Thelma and George Walter. Grandfather of David, Dylan, Michaela, Jacob, Alyssa and Kayla. Former owner of Mickey's Cab Service of Gretna. He was an avid car enthusiast and collector. A native of Gretna, LA and a resident of Hammond, LA for the past 9 years. A Funeral Service was held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA at 11am. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation was held from 9am until 11am. Special thanks to Hospice Compassus and the Hospice Foundation of the South.
