Michael J. Rosetta passed away at his home on July 18, 2020 at the age of 100. He was a native and lifelong resident of Westwego, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents Mary Giacona Rossitto and Corrodo Rossitto; wife Amelia Rosetta; sisters Carmella Weidie, Connchetta Taulli, Mary Gulizo, and Virginia Faucheaux; niece Barbara Mahlie; and nephews Bud Taulli, Sr., and Frank Taulli, Sr. He is survived by his only son, Devin Rosetta; his niece, Georgette Rodriguez, nephews George and Michael Adams, and a host of other relatives. Michael was a World War II veteran and held the rank of First Class Navy Seaman. He worked for Cutcher Canning Company in Westwego for a number of years as an operator and manager. Aside from working at the Cutcher Canning Company, he was also a successful businessman. Friends and family are invited to attend the funeral mass at 12 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Westwego. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 2020 and end at 12 p.m. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in Westwego.
