Michael Anthony Bordlee Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Michael Anthony Bordlee, age 29, of Metairie, Louisiana, passed away on June 19, 2022. He was the son of Anthony Joseph Bordlee and Dorinda Chiappetta (Bordlee). He was the beloved brother of Rachelle B. Nguyen (Brandon, niece Evangeline), Gabrielle B. Mauro (Blake, niece Seraphina), Mia Bordlee (Eric Bussey), and bonus brother Sam Labue. A graduate of Christian Brothers and Jesuit New Orleans (2012), Michael was a talented vocalist and guitar performer, as well as a digital creator of music and visual arts. In 2017, Michael designed and co-founded a museum of virtual art project, one of the first of its kind, to encourage worldwide open-source art collaboration. In addition to his parents and siblings, He is survived by maternal grandparents Guy and Nell Chiappetta, and by paternal grandmother Patsy Bordlee who survives Michael’s grandfather Randy Bordlee. He is also survived by aunts and uncles, namely, Shelly Chiappetta, Dawn Chiappetta, Cindy and Ed Jeanfreau, Greg Bordlee and Larry Debuys. Michael loved his surviving cousins Joshua, Sarah, Erin, Eric, Elise, Christopher, Christian and Catherine. Michael is predeceased by his grandfather Randolph Joseph Bordlee, his cousin Stephen Jeanfreau, and his aunts Elizabeth Bordlee DeBuys and Julia Kramer Bordlee. Services will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 105 Bonnabel Blvd, Metairie. Visitation is from 11am to 12:30; Mass is at 1pm, followed by a 2-4pm reception in the Melancon Center located behind the church at 1627 Metairie Road.
