Mary Jo Schneider

Mary Jo Horton Schneider was born in St Paul, Minnesota May 4, 1940. She passed away September 1, 2018. She was a resident of New Orleans for 64 years and loved the city and the Saints, attending the first games at Tulane Stadium and the Superdome. She was beloved by family and friends for her humor, compassion, understanding and wise counsel. She is survived by her husband of nearly 58 years Ronald Schneider, her two daughters Susan Schneider Powell (formerly Angrisano) and Karen Schneider Georgiev (formerly O’Dowd) and had 6 grandchildren. Mary Jo was an avid gamer starting with the earliest computer games. She loved World of Warcraft, even leading missions with a group of other gamers. Her life will be celebrated at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA 70058 on Friday, September 14th at 11 AM. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 9am until 11am.
