Mary Mae Popich Fazende

Mary Mae Popich Fazende entered peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the age of 90. She was a lifelong resident of Plaquemines Parish. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Fazende, Jr.; parents, John Popich and Annie Ragas Popich; two brothers, John Popich and Joseph Popich; brothers-in- law, Warren O'Brien and Charles Sketchler; sister, Annabelle O'Brien and son-in-law, Fred Harris Fitzgerald, Jr. She is survived by her son, James Fazende III (Linda); two daughters, Jamie Fitzgerald and Robin Zuvich (Matt); brother, Thomas Popich (Minnie Lee); sister, Gloria Sketchler; and sister-in-law, Tommie Lou Popich. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joshua Fitzgerald (Tara), Jason Fitzgerald (Jessica), John Michael Fazende (Heather), Jenna Chapman (Carlin), Matthew Zuvich (Jennifer), Jamie Ann Zuvich, 9 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews who all loved her dearly. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8968 Hwy 23, Belle Chasse, LA on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11am.
