Mary "Cathy" Rivers Hinkley

Mary “Cathy” Rivers Hinkley, 80, of Belle Chasse, Louisiana, made her way home to be with the Lord May 2, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. Cathy was born on February 16, 1942, in Many, Louisiana, to the late Monroe Vincent Rivers and Viola Higgins Rivers. She is survived by her brother Woodrow Vinson Rivers (Rosalia) and sister Wanda Rivers Marcel (Donald). She leaves behind the love of her life David Joe Hinkley of 63 years, her son Warren Keith Hinkley (Sharon), her grandsons Whitney Kyle Hinkley (Melissa) and Jody Colin Hinkley, her great grandchildren Kate and Colin Hinkley, her daughter Kimberly Hinkley Robinette, her granddaughter Caitlin Hinkley Matte (Christopher), her great grandchildren Madison, Jordan and Jacquelyn Arenales, her grandsons Bruce Martin Ahlborn III and Rayce Allen Robinette.

Cathy spent 22 years of her life as a supportive military wife, moving multiple times, being stationed as far as Germany, while raising two children, and finally settling in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. She was known as an honest, loving, strong, persistent, and determined woman, and a successful small business owner alongside her husband for over 40 years. Cathy loved music and enjoyed singing with her family. Her presence on earth will be greatly missed, but our peace is knowing she is in the presence of God!

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Memorial Service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 11 AM. Memorial Visitation will be held from 10 AM until Funeral Time. Interment private.
