Bernice Pizani Bernard peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of Russel Bernard for 20 years by second marriage and the late Kenneth A. Pizani by first marriage. Daughter of the late Eddie Peter Touchard and Rena Plaisance Touchard. Loving mother of Sherry Pizani Adam (Husband William “Gene”). Beloved grandmother of Shantelle Adam Clement (Husband Chris). Great Grandmother of Peyton Elizabeth Clement and Addison Reese Clement. Sister of Alice Blanchard (Husband, the late Joseph), Nora Badeaux (Husband, the late Floyd, Sr), Netty Pizani Cardon (Husband, the late Larry Pizani and Roy Cardon) and the late Hubert Touchard (Wife, the late Carol). Bernice is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. She loved Russel’s children, Penny Buras (Husband Kenny and their son, Alex Buras) and Rusty Bernard (Wife, Rosanne) as her own family as well as Russel's grandchildren, Kelsi Schmitz (Husband Gerard) and Jodi Bernard (James Wagar). She was a native of Lafitte and a resident of Marrero. Bernice was a member of the St. Rosalie Altar Society. The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to the Doctors and Staff at Marrero Health Care Center for their love and care given to her during her illness. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, February 5, 2018 from 9AM until 1:30PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 1:30PM. Interment will be in St. Pius Mausoleum, Crown Point, LA.
