Mary Ann Tiefenbrun Koederitz

Mary Ann Tiefenbrun Koederitz passed away peacefully at her home on January 15 at the age of 88. She is survived by her loving husband of over 66 years, William A. Koederitz. Both were natives of St. Louis, Missouri, but were 50-year residents of a wonderfully tightknit neighborhood in Jefferson Parish. She is also survived by her children, William L. (Mary), Gary (Susan), David (Clarissa), Mark (Ruth), Jon (Sandy), and Lisa, plus many grandchildren and great grandchildren, her favorite dog Lucky, and her brother Leo “Buzz” Tiefenbrun (Norma). She was preceded in death by her son Karl. She loved to travel with her husband, family, and friends. She enjoyed quilting and sewing, making many things for her grandchildren. She also made many jigsaw puzzles, an activity she shared with her children and grandchildren. Mary Ann will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving husband and family. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 3pm. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 1pm until 3pm. In lieu of flowers, masses at Christ the King Catholic Church in Terrytown, LA are preferred or donations to Habitat For Humanity.
