Marver Rodriguez "Mommee" Myers

Marver Rodriguez “Mommee” Myers passed away peacefully on October 16, 2018 at the age of 79 years. Beloved wife of the late Clifford Myers Sr. Mother of Davin Myers (Michelle), Kerry Myers (the late Janet), Dawn Massey (Steve) and the late Clifford Myers Jr. Grandmother of Ryan Myers (Amy Sue), Michael Myers, Connor Myers, Sarah Guillot, Julia Myers, Scott Massey (Danielle), Jessica Massey, Rachel Massey, Julie Hinton (Stephen) and Laura Gorman (Jared). Great-grandmother of Amelia, Caleb, Lauren, Derek and Christian. Sister of Daryll Rodriguez and the late Marvin “Sonny” Rodriguez. Daughter of the late Julia King Rodriguez and Claude Rodriguez. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Marver was a longtime resident of Terrytown, LA. She worked for Brown & Root, Taylor Diving, Delta Queen Steamboat Company and Jefferson Parish School Board. She and her beloved husband loved to bowl and go out dancing. She also enjoyed traveling, eating boiled crabs and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a kind and generous soul and was a friend to all who knew and loved her. While her passing is sorrowful, her life and legacy will be celebrated.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital ( www.stjude.org ).
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 10am to 1pm. Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home chapel. Interment Hook and Ladder Cemetery in Gretna.
