Marion “Queenie” Muth Schexnayder entered peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, January 3, 2022, after a short battle with cancer. She was born on January 19, 1934, in New Orleans to the late Peter F. Muth, Sr. and Addie Rodrigue. She was a former resident of Gretna and a longtime resident of Harvey. Marion was the beloved wife of Conrad J. “Connie” “Schex” Schexnayder, Sr. for 51 years. She was the sister of Peter F. Muth, Jr. and the late Cynthia M. Hanks and Michael J. Muth. She was the loving mother of Debra Parks (Allen), Kathleen Schneider (Paul), Conrad “Speedy” Schexnayder, Jr. (Jan), Karie Lynn Dubreuil (Eddie Lawson) and Christopher Schexnayder (Sandra). She is survived by nine grandchildren, one step-grandchild, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. After the death of her husband, Marion became the matriarch of the family and devoted her life to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren – “her family.” A devout Catholic and parishioner of Infant Jesus of Prague Church, she relied on her faith for spiritual guidance and comfort. The family would like to give special thanks to Cynthia Williams, Angelique Price, Kim Green and Louisiana Hospice for their loving care. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church, 700 Maple Avenue, Harvey, LA on Friday, January 7 at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 AM until service time. The family requests that everyone in attendance wear face coverings. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Family and friends may view and sign the online guest book at
