Marie Aquilone Diaz

Marie Aquilone Diaz entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Milton O. “Mike” Diaz, Sr. Daughter of the late Adolph Aquilone and Carmelite Aquilone. Step Daughter of the late Albert J. Ibs. Mother of Albert “Al” Diaz (Ruth) and Milton O. “Mickey” Diaz, Jr. (Renee). Grandmother of Raymond Diaz, Philip Diaz, Cheryl Reymon, Sara Diaz, Amber Apostol, Michael Apostol, Milton “Myles” O. Diaz, III and Mayelynne Diaz. Daughter-in-law of the late Marcelus Diaz, Sr. and Elmire Domingue Diaz. Marie is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. She was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, Louisiana and was a member of McDonogh High School on Esplanade Avenue Reunion Group. Due to the COVID Pandemic, attendees must wear a face mask and practice social distancing during the duration of the Visitation and Funeral Mass. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 1300 Vallette Street, Algiers, Louisiana on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 10AM until 12PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 12 PM. Interment will be in St. Louis Number 3 Cemetery, Esplanade Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana.
