Margaret Matulich Alfortish

Margaret Matulich Alfortish passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the age of
100. Beloved wife of the late Herbert F. Alfortish. Mother of Dr. Kenneth E. Alfortish
(Gayle) and Darryl Alfortish. Daughter of the late Margaret Hynes Matulich and Jerome
Matulich. Sister of the late Agnes Benavides and Louis Matulich. Grandmother of Dr.
Kenneth H. Alfortish (Kristi M.), Shelley Alfortish DeBlanc (Ronald), Timothy P.
Alfortish (Kelly L.), Cynthia Alfortish DeHart (Brian), Dustin E. Alfortish, Alexandra E.
Alfortish Giardina (Cody), and the late John Peter Alfortish. Great grandmother of
Emmy Alfortish Giardina, Katherine DeBlanc, Kirsten, Kendall, and Konrad Alfortish,
Laura, Christopher, and Nicholas DeHart, Emily and Ashley Alfortish. She was a
member of the Timberlane Garden Club. She loved her family and will be sadly missed.
She was a native of Algiers, LA and resident of Gretna, LA for the past 60 years. A
Memorial Mass was held on January 26, 2018 at Mothe Funeral Home, 1300 Vallette St.,
Algiers, LA. and interment was held at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Family and
