Marcella Maria Ziifle

Marcella Maria Ziifle went to her eternal life with the Lord on Monday, May 28, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Vernon Richard Ziifle and Marguerite Marcello Ziifle. She is survived by her sister, Darilyn Schieffler (Danny), her nephew Danny Schieffler Jr., nieces Erin Bridges (Duane), and Jerilyn Schieffler and great nieces Jade Blakeney,Kaitlyn Schieffler, Amber Bridges, Angel Bridges, and great nephews Aaron Bridges and Mikah Velasquez. Marcella received her law degree from Tulane University in 1971 and practiced most of her legal career at the Jefferson Parish Clerks office. She enjoyed spending time and spoiling her sister’s children and grandchildren She eventually moved to Folsom, La to fulfill a dream that she had since childhood. She was able to raise horses and dogs and soon began her own horse and dog rescue. Everybody knows how big her heart was for children and animals. She always kept her rescues until she could find the perfect forever home and if that wasn’t possible, they became part of her family. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 1 p.m. Interment at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until funeral time. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Dantes Hope Animal Dog Rescue in Baker, La. or St. Francis Dog Rescue in Mississippi.
