Mae Schurb Capdevielle passed away peacefully into God’s loving arms on Saturday, December 19, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Ira E. Capdevielle. Loving mother of Linda Capdevielle Kulivan (David). Grandmother of David Kulivan, Jr. (Karen) and Kevin Kulivan (Amy). Great-grandmother of Colleen Kaitlyn Kulivan, Ava Mae Kulivan, Nathan David Kulivan, Violet Anne Kulivan, and Peter Thomas Kulivan. Daughter of the late Joseph Schurb and the late Anna Miller Schurb. Sister of the late Clifford Schurb (the late Althea), the late Marion Schurb (the late Louise), and the late Joseph Schrub. Aunt of Carolyn Schurb Olsen (the late Wade), Althea Schurb Ancelet (Bob), the late Marian Ann Schurb Vlosich (John). She will be greatly missed by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors. She graduated from Our Lady of Holy Cross College. She taught at Holy Name of Mary School for 38 years. A resident of Terrytown for 46 years. Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 11AM on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, in Harvey. Visitation will begin at 9:30AM. Interment will follow at McDonogh Cemetery, 520 Hancock St., in Gretna. All visitors are required to wear masks and keep a social distance while following all current COVID19 mandates.
