Lula Mae Arcement Savin, age 92, passed away on January 15, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Calvin J. Savin Sr. Mother of Catherine Davidson, the late Calvin Savin, Jr., Susan Davenport (Paul), Nancy Blanda (Carlo), and Theresa Foret, wife of the late Charles Foret, (Kevin “Pat” Gillespie Sr.) Grandmother of Christie Gerard (Gary), Amy Toups (Ludger), Daina Manuel (Jay), Alicia Feurtado (Chad), Dixie Todaro (Vincent), Heidi Bozzelle (Joey), Dollie Dufrene (Rickie), Selena Savin, Stacy Verdin (Eddie), and the late Paul I. Davenport. Step-grandmother of Monte Davidson Jr. and the late Brad Mabile Sr. Lula was born on September 16, 1928 in Raceland, LA to the late Joseph Arcement and Theresa Walker Arcement. She is preceded in death by her siblings: Leo Arcement (Jeanne), Mae Breaux (Pierre), Fred Arcement (Alzina), Maude Vedros (Alces), Chuck Arcement (Leona), Laura Koen (James), and James “Jimmy” Arcement (Ruby). Lula is survived by 25 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter Jolie, which made 5 generations of all girls, many nieces and nephews, and family and friends. She was a loyal employee of 20 years of Fasullo Drug Store in Westwego, LA. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was a devoted parishioner at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Westwego, LA. She enjoyed cooking most her life for all of her family and friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to the wonderful staff at Lakeside Hospice for their great care and service. Also, a huge thanks to Chad Usea and Nicole Hebert for their continued care and all their help and kindness through the years. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral mass on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 11AM at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 146 4th St., in Westwego. Visitation will begin at 9AM. Interment will follow immediately after mass at Gates of Heaven Mausoleum in Westwego.
