Lionel "Bubba" Guise Jr

Lionel “Bubba” Guise, Jr., lifelong resident of Westwego, LA, left for his heavenly home on Monday, November 9, 2020. He leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years, Marie Gautreaux Guise and daughters, Denise Guise, Stephanie Guillot (Lon), Michelle Thurman and Jennifer Curran (Bill). He was the loving grandfather of Lon Guillot, Jr. (Lacey), Laine Guillot, Benjamin Curran, and Emma Curran. He was the brother of Alice Guise Majorie (late Frank), brother-in-law of Charles Gautreaux (Maggie), Johnny Gautreaux, Jr. (Margie) and the late Joyce Trepagnier, and Raymond Gautreaux (late Cynthia). He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends. Lionel worked at Avondale Shipyard for 42 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 146 Fourth Street, Westwego, LA on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 12noon. Visitation will be held at the church from 10am until 12noon. Masks are required. Interment, Our Lady of Prompt Succor Gate of Heaven Mausoleum.
