Linwood John "Woody" Benoit, Jr. went to be with the Lord and the love of his life, Patricia Benoit on May 4, 2020.
Linwood was born on July 22, 1952 in New Orleans, LA and lived in Marrero, LA. Along with his beloved wife Patricia, he was preceded in death by his parents, Rosemary and Linwood Benoit, Sr.; grandson, Nicholas Wingerter and siblings, Anthony, Lillian, and Laura.
He is survived by his stepchildren, James DiMarco (Terri) and Gaynell Grabert (Randy); grandchildren, Ashley Wingerter, Taylor and Connor DiMarco; sister, Rebecca Adams; fur baby, Foxey Jean; Godchildren, Anthony Benoit Jr. and Bridget Hohensee along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Linwood served his country in the U.S. Army. He loved his country and his family, enjoyed travelling, eating out at local restaurants and never missed a chance to cheer on his beloved Saints football team. He was a loyal member of Belle Chasse United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with his church family.
