Linda Adams Ponson

Linda Adams Ponson passed away peacefully on April 28, 2022 at the age of 77 years. Beloved mother of Kevin Adam Ponson (the late Jamie) and Michelle Ponson Smith (Marcus W. III). Grandmother of Marcus W. Smith IV, Lauren E. Smith, Gavin N. Smith, and Landen A. Ponson. Sister of Joy Adams Schmidt (Bill), the late Virgie Adams Percle, Edmond “Rock” Adams (the late Angie), and Sterling J. Adams. Daughter of the late Edmond Antoine Adams and Maria Delatte Adams. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Linda was born and raised in Algiers, LA and graduated from Behrman High School, Class of 1964. She worked for LP&L/Entergy for 35 years, retiring as a Customer Service Supervisor. She was active in P.W.P. (Parents Without Partners) and enjoyed dancing, playing Bingo, visits to casinos and never missed a chance to cheer on her beloved Saints. She was a talented home cook and was known for her oyster bread dressing. She loved being with her family and will be sadly missed.

Visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 5pm to 8pm, resuming on Monday, May 2, 2022 from 8am to 11am. A Funeral Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna.
