Linda Kimble Kempf

February 15, 1950 — January 28, 2021

Linda Kimble Kempf entered into eternal rest on January 28, 2021. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Arthur R. Kempf, her parents Julius Kimble, Jr. and Philomena Kimble, and her siblings John, JB, and CJ Kimble. She is survived by her loving children Kevin Kempf and Karen Kempf O’Brien (Andrew). She was the beloved grandmother of Alec O’Brien, Cody Aruchuleta, and the late Collin Aruchuleta, all of whom she doted on and loved with all her heart. Linda is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins to whom she always remained "Aunt Linda" or (in true New Orleans fashion) "Aunt Linder”. Linda was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. She graduated from Redemptorist High School in 1968 and went on to work in the insurance industry for many years. Upon retirement, she became owner, bookkeeper, house Lamborghini driver, and "Mama Linda in Charge" at PG NOLA. In addition, Linda was an active member of numerous social organizations, including the Westbank's own Aardvarks (of whom her husband Art was a charter member). Although she moved to Algiers upon marriage, she always remained an Irish Channel girl at heart and was an active member of the 11th Ward Ladies Social Club. An avid bowler, Linda was a leading member of many local bowling leagues including Westside Bowling Lanes. Linda also enjoyed travelling and visited many destinations abroad with family and friends. Linda lived a full life and brought joy to all she knew. She lived her life with real flair. Look no further than her hair dyed to match the color Kevin wrapped her sweet Caddy in. She was easy to laugh and to smile, and everyone who knew her was blessed by her love and friendship. So many who entered her life remarked on how welcoming and warm she was. She was truly Mama Linda to all. Funeral services and interment will be private. Due to the COVID Pandemic, attendees are limited to 100 persons. All attendees must wear their face mask for the duration of the visitation and service. MOTHE FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family during this difficult time. Family and friends may offer condolences at mothefunerals.com. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in Linda's name to the Collin Archuleta Hope Memorial Fund - painttheworldpurple.org.
