Leroy Mitchel Meaux Sr.

LeRoy Mitchel Meaux, Sr. entered into eternal rest on April 2, 2021. Beloved husband of Mary Carla Whiteley Meaux for 51 years. Father of LeRoy “TeLe” Meaux, Jr. (Becky) and Casey Joe Meaux (Catherine). Grandfather of Kenneth (Kayla), Jordan Michael, Christopher (Jackie Marie), Ched (Mindy), Jesse (Destiny), Molly (Lee), Cason, and many loved great-grandchildren. Son of the late Maxie M. Meaux and Isabelle Gaspard Meaux. Brother of the late Maxie Meaux, Jr., Paul J. Meaux, and Raymond Meaux, Sr. (Gloria). Also survived by his adopted brother and nephew Paul Meaux, and many loved nieces, nephews, and Godchildren. Age 74 years, a native of Kaplan, was raised in Port Sulphur, and a resident of Buras, LA where he and his wife lovingly raised their family. LeRoy was a Veteran of the United States Army and was the owner of TeLe’s Welding since 1978. He was a member of “Alice and Woody’s Coffee Club” and enjoyed spending time with family and friends who will miss him dearly. Special thanks to Compassus Hospice, especially Andrea, Danielle, Mae, and Gail, as well as Dr. Russo and staff, especially Devon, West Jefferson Hospital and staff, especially Brittney in September 2019, Plaquemines Parish Ambulance and Fire Departments, for their wonderful care and support. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Visitation at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Port Sulphur, LA on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 10 AM until Funeral Mass time at 12 PM. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Good Harbor Cemetery, Buras, LA. Due to COVID-19, masks will be required to enter.
