Leo John Roth Jr.

Leo John Roth, Jr. passed away on July 15, 2020. Beloved father of Greta Roth Frelich (Kevin) and the late Ruby Roth. Grandfather of Shantelle F. Petrovich (Kuzma), David Frelich, Jake Frelich (Mallorie), and Colby Frelich. Great-grandfather of Mila Petrovich, Kaden Petrovich, Hunter Frelich, Vedran Petrovich, and the late Kennedy Frelich. Son of the late Leo J. Roth, Sr. and Thyra Hotard Roth. Dear cousin of J.C. Fischtziur. Former spouse of June Purgley. He also leaves behind his two cats. Age 81 years, a native of Algiers, and resident of Nairn, LA. He graduated from Buras High School in 1958. He was an avid fisherman and made a career of it for many years. He had a lifelong dream to own his boat one day. He loved people, never met a stranger, and was always making jokes or wise cracks. Many stories have been shared by his best friends, Butch Edgecombe, Butch Thornton, Alan Kahoe, and Marion Franicevich about all their times together. He will be deeply missed by all.
The Funeral Prayer Service will be held in the Parlor of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 1300 Vallette St., Algiers, LA on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 1:30 PM. Visitation will be held from 11 AM until 1:30 PM.
