Lee Roy Goodson

Lee Roy Goodson passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 77 on September 15, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Myra Jane Harrison Goodson, and the father of three sons, Jimmy Lee Goodson (Missy), Royce Allen Goodson (Hallette), and the late Dale Edward Goodson. Proud grandfather to 7 grandsons, Matthew, Lee Mark, Brice, Royce Jr., Clint, Luke, Jake and Colt. Brother to Dot Turnbo (Gene), Jean Brock (Buddy), and Ann Suggs (Jerry, Sr.). Son of the late Allen Willis Goodson and Fern Adair Johnson Goodson. He was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas and graduated from the former Fuller High School, Class of 1958. He resided in Marrero/Harvey, LA for 48 years and retired from Avondale Shipyards (Northrop Grumman/Ingalls Shipyards). Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation and Service at Mothe Funeral Home 2100 Westbank Expressway Harvey, LA on Monday September 17, 2018. Visitation from 4pm to 7 pm followed by service. He will be laid to rest in Little Rock AR at Ironton Baptist Church Cemetery later in the week, time and date to be announced for Arkansas family and friends.
