Larry F. Landry, aged 92, a longtime resident of Terrytown, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at his daughter’s home on March, 4, 2022. He was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1929 to parents George, Sr and Era Goodeau Landry. He is survived by his son Gregory Landry (Teresa); daughter Donna Landry; grandchildren Ashley, Jessica, and Demi (Mindy); sister Connie Landry Daigle (Larry); sister in law Margaret Landry; godchildren Patsy Hebert Guillot (Douglas), James Callender Jr (Jane); and numerous nieces and nephews from his and his wife’s families whom he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Eve Hebert Landry, she was the love of his life; his grandson Geoffrey Landry; parents George Sr and Era Landry; brothers George Landry, Jr, and Thomas Landry, Sr (Mamie, Lena); sister Georgiana Landry Balser (James); brothers in law Burnie Hebert (Eve), Clifton Hebert (May), Clay Hebert (Frances), Shelby Hebert (Hazel), and Roy Hebert; sisters in law Lois Hebert Crochet (Philip) and Maude Hebert Crochet (Pierre); nephews Kenneth Titone, Terry Landry, and Daniel Crochet. He was an Air Force Veteran, having served 7 years, and was a veteran of the Korean War. He attended Louisiana State University on the G.I. Bill receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was employed by the federal government for 40 years, spending the last 23 years of his career at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District. Larry and Eve enjoyed the years of hosting crawfish boils for his coworkers and their families. Larry and Eve were past members of a local Square Dancing group with many of their longtime friends, and enjoyed years of great fun. Services will be Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 535 Deerfield Rd, Terrytown, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 11:00a.m. and Mass at 1:00p.m. Burial immediately following at Westlawn Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Ave, Gretna, Louisiana.
