On December 10, 1947, a great person, Larry P. Babin, Sr. was born into this world to Margie and Albert Babin; he was their third child. His other siblings were Dale Babin (Deceased), Lloyd Babin and Lynn Babin. Larry was married to Brenda Brooks and had two children, Larry P. Babin, Jr. (Colleen) and Robert W. Babin. He has one grandson, Larry P. Babin, III. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Larry served in the United States Army and later began his career with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office for 34 years, where he achieved the rank of Captain in command of the Records and Identification Division. He retired and began a new life and met his fiance’, Barbara Allen. While they were leaving on a cruise on October 2017, he suffered a massive heart attack. Barbara stayed by his side while he fought a great battle with the heart attack and complications with his C.O.P.D. On February 12, 2018, he took his final breath at West Jefferson Hospital in the Bridge Point Acute Care Center. He will be missed and loved by everyone in his life and will live on forever in our hearts. Larry was born in New Orleans and was a resident of Marrero, LA.
