Lana Rome Lasserre, resident of Wynhoven, Marrero, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at the age of 75 due to cancer.
Born November 2, 1945 at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, LA. Daughter of Dennis J. Rome, Sr. and Lottie Falgout Rome, sibling of Bonnie R. Gorrondona, Dennie R. Powdrill, Ronnie Rome, Linda R. Barthe, and Dennis Rome, Jr. Married 58 years to beloved husband to Steve Joseph Lasserre, Sr. and loving mother of Stevie J. Lasserre, Jr., Letty Lasserre and Brady Lasserre. Grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
She was kind hearted to everyone, a loving wife and mother who enjoyed cooking, baking, and care taker to many loved ones. She enjoyed playing cards with in-laws and poke-a-keno with her best friends, (loved to laugh). She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Wynhoven Nursing Home and Notre Dame Hospice for their compassionate care. Much respect and gratefulness for what each of you do. Praying for God’s protection as you continue your selfless acts of love and caring. Thank each of you for your dedication and drive to help others.
