Kari Margaret Ziifle passed away peacefully on July 19, 2018 at the age of 64 years. Beloved daughter of the late Ita Mae Allingham Ziifle and Robert W. Ziifle Sr. Loving sister of Kirsten “Kris” Ziifle, Robert W. Ziifle Jr. (Helen), Timothy C. Ziifle Sr. (JoAnne) and John Allingham Ziifle (Cheryle). Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Kari was the world’s longest surviving Prader-Willi Syndrome individual. She was a native of New Orleans and one of Sr. Lillian’s first graduating class at St. Michael Special School. She was an avid Special Olympics athlete in both Louisiana and Mississippi. Kari resided at Laura Baker School and Residence in Northfield, Minnesota for 23 years and later at South Mississippi Regional Centers-Gautier Community Home for 20 years. She also resided at Dixie White House in Long Beach, Mississippi and was currently a resident of Willow Wood Nursing Center at Woldenburg Village in Algiers, Louisiana. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Long Beach, Mississippi and Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Diamondhead, Mississippi.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, 400 Verret Street in Algiers, Louisiana on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 9am to 11am. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment St. Bartholomew Cemetery.
