Junius Joseph Callais peacefully entered into eternal rest at his daughter’s home in Baton Rouge on Friday, July 17, 2020 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Betty Bernard Callais. Son of the late Andrew L. Callais and Elodie Vizier Callais. Father of Pamela C. Rodrigue (Erroll), Karen C. Callais (Kirk), Cindy A. Callais (Troy) and Dan M. Callais (Jeneen). Loving grandfather of Jason Rodrigue (Sommer), Blake Rodrigue (Kristin), Lacie Barbier (Blair), Rory Callais (Sarah), Kiley Eubanks (Travis, Sr.), Kasey Lopez (Cory), Jennifer Link (John), Joel Callais and Destin Callais. Loving Great Grandfather of Madelyn, Blaise, Cole and Brady Rodrigue; Cate, Allie and Leah Barbier; Travis, Jr. and Talan Eubanks; Logan and Lily Lopez; Gracie and Gia Link. Beloved brother of Irma C. Esponge, Anna Jane Danos, Luana Lesur, Andrew Callais, Jr., Mary Musa and the late Velma C. Lackey, Dudley Callais, Sr., George Callais and Dickie Callais. Junius is also survived by his special friend, Hazel Guidry. Junius is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. He was born in Galliano, Louisiana and was a resident of Marrero, Louisiana. He served his country while enlisted in the United States Army; He was a retired Tugboat Captain. Due to the COVID Pandemic, attendees are limited to 50 persons. All attendees must wear their face mask for the duration of the Visitation and Funeral Mass. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, July 24, 2020 from 11AM until 1:30PM.
