Joyce J. Pastre

Joyce J. Pastre entered into eternal rest on January 11, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Robert L. Pastre. Loving mother of Michael Bardin (Pam), James Bardin (Susie Cambre), Kevin Bardin (Laura), Tamara Bardin (Kim), and stepmother of Debra Lambeth (Buddy). Grandmother of Jennifer Touchet, Ashley Baumbusch, Stephanie Simmons, Brian Bardin, Gabrielle Bardin, Matthew Bardin, Austin Johnson, Gavin Johnson, and the late Kevin Gast. Great-grandmother of 11. Daughter of the late Russell T. Jones and Bessie Mae Terry Jones. Sister of Robert R. Jones (Tet) and the late Jessie J. Sapp (Robert). Also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special thanks to her great-grandson Zackary Simmons, granddaughter Stephanie Simmons, and daughters Tamara and Kim for providing loving care in her time of need. Also thanks to Dr. Charles Simonson and staff as well as the staff of Heart of Hospice for their knowledge, support and loving care they gave to Joyce and her family during this difficult time. Age 81 years, a native of Williamston, NC and resident of Gretna, LA. Joyce was an avid bowler serving as secretary treasurer of several Bowling Leagues at Expressway Lanes for over 20 years. She loved crocheting, travelling in the motorhome, fishing, and spending time with her family. She also loved dancing, especially square dancing where she met her husband Bob. She will be deeply missed by all. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 1 PM until Memorial Service time at 3 PM.
