Joyce Vallery Gautreaux

Loving wife and mother, Joyce Vallery Gautreaux, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at the age of 86. She was the heart of our family, and we will miss her warm smile. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Leroy Gautreaux and her children, Brenda Gaudin, Sandra Corrigan (Kevin), Gregory Gautreaux (Patricia), Christina Vetra (Chris). She is preceded in death by her eldest son, Brian Gautreaux (Lori), her parents, JC Vallery and Mabel Fleda Adams, her siblings, Bobby Tyson, Fred Vallery, Janet Grundman, John Vallery, Gaynell Powell, Linda Koonce, Wayne Vallery. She is survived by her sisters, Ioma Durand and Adele Manuel. Joyce is grandmother of Shannon Corrigan (Matthew), Michael Corrigan, Jordan Vetra, Shanna Kenney (Brad), Nicholas Poole (Jessica), and Alexandra Battalora (Eric). Great grandchildren Brody and Cassidy Kenney and Adaline Poole. Joyce will be missed by all who loved her like a diamond in the sky. Friends, relatives, and members of the Holy Name Society are invited to the visitation starting at 12noon and mass at 2pm at Christ the King Catholic Church, 535 Deerfield Road, Terrytown, LA. on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. A private graveside ceremony for the family will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna, LA.
