Joyce Pierce Creppel

Joyce Pierce Creppel, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at the age of 84. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eddie S. Creppel; her son, Captain Mark Creppel; her parents, Alcide A. Pierce and Estellina Matherne Pierce; and her brothers, Nolan Pierce and Jerry Pierce. She is the loving mother of Rhonda Creppel Clay (Jimmy), Cindy Creppel Gauthreaux (Wayne), and Shelley Creppel (Michael Mayo). She is the loving mother-in-law of Evelyn Creppel. She is the devoted grandmother of Shane Creppel, Troy Creppel, Shontelle Benton (Jeff), Jimmy Clay Jr. (Sean Sullivan), Wayne Gauthreaux Jr. (Tiffany Pierce), Tracy Gegenheimer Jr. (Lori), and Lacey Basse (Elias). She is the loving great grandmother of Amanda Breaux (Josh), Kylie Creppel, Haylie Creppel, London Creppel, Tyler Pierce, Adlyn Gauthreaux, Kaylee Gegenheimer, Alyssa Gegenheimer, and Stanley Basse. She is the loving great great grandmother of Philip Favre Jr., Ashton Favre, and Joshua Breaux Jr. She is the cherished sister of Judy Pierce Constance. She is also survived by her loving companion of 15 years, Adolph “Whip” Caufield; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A special thanks to the caring staffs of Heart of Hospice and Beau Provence Assisted Living Center. A Private Visitation was held on Monday, June 29, 2020 beginning at 12:00 Noon followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00 PM at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA. Private interment followed at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
