Joseph E. Pardue, Jr. passed away peacefully at home on March 8, 2022, at the age of 80. Joseph was born in New Orleans, La to the late Joseph E. Pardue, Sr. and the late Edith B. Pardue on November 18, 1941.
Joseph graduated from LSU with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Majority of his life, Joseph worked as an engineer for Louisiana Power and Light Co., until he retired. He was an NRA Benefactor member, as well as a member of the Deep South Friends of NRA, and Bayou friends of NRA.
He served his country in the Air National Guard-USAF. Joseph was also part of the Westside Amateur Radio Club and the Southeast La Firearms Safety Inc. He was a Range Officer at Honey Island Shooting Range.
Joseph enjoyed traveling, specifically cruising and he loved being retired.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Sandra Mix Pardue; his daughter, Gwendolyn Jean Pardue; his grandson, Corey R. Bourgeois (Alison), and his great grandchildren, Nicholas Joseph Bourgeois and Graham Roger Bourgeois. He is also survived by his sister, Susan P. Guidry (Clifford) and his brother-in-law, Morgan R. Mix (Late Jane). Joseph also leaves behind his niece, Molly Mix, and his nephew Matthew Mix, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents Edith B. Pardue and Joseph E. Pardue Sr, and his son Daniel Joseph Pardue.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass to celebrate the life of Joseph on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, La 70072, at 3pm. The visitation will begin at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a cancer research society.
