John Francis Talamo Sr.

John Francis Talamo Sr., passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the age of 78. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Mary Ruth Talamo and Sandy Mary Talamo; his parents, Gosimo Gus Talamo and Rosalie Rotolo Talamo; and his siblings, Anna Rita Brunet, Anthony L. “Buddy” Talamo, Josephine Agnes Majorie, and Joseph Talamo. He is the beloved husband of Ruthie G. Talamo. He is the loving father of Desiree Mary Talamo Nelson (Tim), Rev. John Francis Talamo Jr., Mary Dana Talamo Dandry (Andrew), and Travis Paul Talamo Sr. (Cherie). He is the devoted grandfather of Colton John Lyon, Andrew Gus Dandry, Rosalie Lourdes Dandry, Travis Paul Talamo II, and Victoria Rose Talamo. He is the cherished brother of Raymond John “Hickey” Talamo, Marie Grace Richard, Shirley Mae Catherine Magnusson, Salvador Paul Talamo, and Charles Harold Talamo. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 beginning at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM all at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 3101 Eton Street, New Orleans, LA. Interment McDonoughville Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA. in charge of arrangements.
