John Angelo Nocito

October 20, 1938 — March 23, 2018

John Angelo Nocito passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of the late Sylvia White Nocito for 35 years. Father of Angela Nocito, Anthony "Tony" Nocito and the late Kathy Nocito. Son of the late Mary and Angelo Nocito. Brother of Rose McKinney (the late Tom), Linda Nocito Wilson (Gus), Brenda Nocito Nicks (Jerry), Wayne Nocito (Marilee), and Perry Nocito (Sandra). Grandfather of Holly and Heather Nocito. Great grandfather of Adriana. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He served his country honorably as a United States Marine. He was the owner of Nocito Construction Company and a member of the Marine Corps League, Woodmen of the World, Italian American Society of Jefferson, Marrero Lions Club, and Westwego Am Vets Post 38. He enjoyed going to Boomtown Casino. He was a lifelong resident of Jefferson Parish and resided in Avondale for over 50 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 1pm. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 9am until 1pm. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Canon Hospice for their loving care. In lieu of flowers donations to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots or Canon Hospice is preferred. Family and friends may view and sign the online guest book at www.mothefunerals.com .
