Dr. John Kenton Moore Jr.

Dr. John Kenton Moore Jr. passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Carol Hebert Moore for th past 12 years and the late Glennal Guillot Moore for 40 years. Father of Dr. Glennal Verbois (Ira), John Kenton Moore III (Gina), and Kristen St. Pierre (Gary). Step-father of Perry Braun (Nancy), Terry Braun (Ann), and Jerry Braun (Jennifer). Brother of Mary Alice Burnitt (Milford), Harry Moore (Connie), and the late Steven Moore. Grandfather of Wyant, Glennal, Brianne, Matthew, Joshua, John Kenton IV, Erica, Connor, Justin, Ansley, Linsey, and the late Gregory Bivin. Great grandfather of Brynlee, Asher, Gavin, and Bryce. Step-grandfather of 10. Step-great grandfather of 7. Son of the late Dr. John Kenton Moore Sr. and Alice Marie Mayronne Moore.
John graduated from Loyola University Dental School in 1964 and practiced on the Westbank until he retired in 2008. He also served in the Air National Guard. John loved reading, gardening, photography, and he especially loved to travel.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass to be held at St. Martha Catholic Church in Harvey at 11am, with visitation begining at 930am on Tuesday, December 29, 2020.
In leiu of flowers, masses or charitable donations to the charity of your choosing in John's memory are preferred.
