John Felix Lanier Sr., passed away peacefully on February 23, 2019 at the age of 73. Beloved father of Cynthia Lanier Walther (Paul) and John F. Lanier Jr. (Cher’re). Grandfather of Dr. Jonathan P. Walther, Erin and John F. Lanier III (Janet) and the late John David Lanier. Son of the late Anthony Lanier and Rowena Moran Lanier. Brother of Michael R. Lanier (Sharon), the late Antonia Mae Lanier Susslin and Anthony Joseph Lanier.
Former husband of Mary Jane Beauregard Lanier. Longtime companion of Cynthia Gervais; her children, Phillip Tourelle, Eric Tourelle (Jeannine) and Kris Hylleberg (Sharon) and her granddaughter, Bella. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
John was a longtime employee of Witco Chemicals and Wills Industries.
Private funeral services were held.
