John "Jay" Joseph Lawson V

John “Jay” Joseph Lawson V passed away on June 27, 2021 at the age of 33 years. Survivors include his mother, Christi Camus Vercher; father, John Joseph Lawson IV; step-father, Joseph Vercher Jr. and sister, Codi Jourdan Vercher.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Charline Simonson Camus and Ronald Camus.

Jay was born and raised on the Westbank and graduated from John Ehret High School on 2006. He was an avid LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints fan and never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite teams. He loved all sports and was very competitive himself. He loved his two Boston Terriers, Emma and Cooper, they always brought a smile to his face. Jay was a very sensitive and caring son, grandson, brother, friend that had a hard time letting people in but he had so much love for the people in his life. He left this world to soon and will be greatly missed by all family and friends who loved him so very much.
