John Ira Halfacre

John Ira Halfacre, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the age of 72. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Halfacre and Margaret Louise Yeager Halfacre. He is the beloved husband of Margie Halfacre. He is the loving father of John Charles Halfacre. He is the cherished brother of Raymond Halfacre, Jerry Halfacre, Teeney Hanners, and Cindy Halfacre. He is the devoted brother-in-law of Franklin Rakes. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. An avid fisherman, John was a devoted and passionate family man who also enjoyed watching sports and playing golf. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 beginning at 12:30 PM followed by a Time of Sharing at 1:30 PM at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
