John F. Deroche

John F. DeRoche, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the age of 87. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Charles DeRoche Sr. and Zoemie Clement DeRoche; his siblings, Rita Dominick, and J. Charles DeRoche Jr. He is the beloved husband of 65 years of Lois Chiasson DeRoche. He is the loving father of Keith DeRoche and Kevin DeRoche (Karen). He is the devoted grandfather of Brandy Berry (Eric), Julie Chinchilla (Guillermo), Sandi Nastase (Bryan), and Sommer Jamison (Brian). He is the loving great grandfather of Alaina “NuNu” Ortiz, Emilio Chinchilla, Alexis Nastase, Santino Nastase, Alec Nastase, Andrew Nastase, Shelby Nastase, Jaycie Jamison and Jayda Jamison. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and numerous friends. An avid gardener, John was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A special thanks to John’s loving caregivers, Donnie, Geraldine, Alvina “Vanessa”, Doris, Daniela, Angela and the caring staff of Hospice Compassus. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Monday, November 19, 2018 beginning at 11:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:30 PM from the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum, Westwego, LA.
