Jessie A. Gros, Sr. passed away peacefully on June 9, 2019 at the age of 78 years. Beloved husband of the late Diane Savona Gros. Father of Debra Pavon (Joe), Jessie Gros, Jr., Kim Jacob (Mark), Mary Sutherland, Jan Uhlig (Michael) and Sheila McGovern (Todd). Grandfather of Brittany (Kenny), Ashly, Tracy (Audrianna), Jessica (Zachary), Michael, II, Jourdan, Zach, Mark, Jr., Joe, Jr., Devin, Nick and the late Madison. Great-grandfather of Huntyr, Kenneth, Renea, Landon, Kalin, Raymond, Addison, Journey, Addison, Zayne, Jhett, Tage, Maxwell and Lyla. Brother of the late Lucy Tapley, Harold and Clifton Gros. Son of the late Anna Delise Gros and Albert Gros. Also survived by loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jessie served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of I.A.M. Local Union. He worked as a machinist for Dixie Machine in New Orleans for many years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Graveside Service on Thursday, June 13, 2019 for 11am at Restlawn Park Cemetery in Avondale.
