Jerry Dean Cooper

Jerry Dean Cooper was born on June 20, 1966 in Leicester, England and entered into heaven on December 28, 2020. He was a long-time resident of New Orleans, Louisiana. He was the beloved son of the late Bridget Gordon Ordway and the late Jerry Benton Cooper. He was the step-son of the late John Preston Ordway. Survivors include his step-mother Cheryl Quiring Cooper. His two sisters Mary Cooper Moffat(Jim) and Lea Cooper Frey(Tim), and a brother James Michael Cooper(Liz). Jerry, who was also affectionately called “Deanie” and also known as “Eyeball”, is survived by a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was a proud uncle and grand uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. He was an exceptional bartender and spent over 30 years crafting cocktails in some of the most fabulous restaurants and bars in New Orleans. He was blessed to have some incredibly special lifelong friends and he deeply appreciated each of those friendships. We know that he will continue to watch over his friends and loved ones from heaven. A memorial service will be held at a later date due to the COVID19 pandemic.
