Jennie Lee Zelaya

Jennie Lee Zelaya, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at the age of 80. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jennie Torres Zelaya and Marcial Zelaya; and her loving siblings, Miguel Zelaya, Trina Zelaya, Rafael Zelaya, and Reinaldo Zelaya. She is the cherished sister of Lucielle Cuellar and Marshall R. Zelaya, Sr. (Betty). She is the devoted grandmother and “Nana” of Hector Contreras, Jean Mizelle Zelaya Rubi (Luis), Marshal R. Zelaya, Jr., Betty Marie Zelaya Godoy (Armando). She is the loving great- grandmother of Lauren Howell (Devin), Emily Rubi, Blake Godoy, Leah Godoy, and Jacob Godoy. She is also survived by other family and friends. Jennie loved gardening and crocheting. She also had a passion for taking care of the elderly. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A private family visitation will take place on Thursday, April 16, 2020 beginning at 9:30 AM at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA. Private family graveside service will follow at 11:00 AM at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
