Jaqueline Ann Mcfield Dwyer

May 15, 1955 — November 25, 2021

Jacqueline McField Dwyer was born on May 15, 1955, to the union of the late Mary and Gus McField Sr. She was called home by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday November 25, 2021. Jackie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late A.L. Davis Jr. at New Zion Baptist Church and was still a member until her untimely death. Jackie was educated in the Orleans Parish Schools. A graduate of Fortier High School class of 1974. Jackie leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 28 years Wilbert Dwyer, Son Terrill McField Sr., Grandmother of Kayla Armstrong, Jade, Terrill, Torin, Tyren, Taiden, and Tajuan McField, great-grandchildren Chloe’ Armstrong and Kash Malcolm. Sisters Valarie Norflin, Barbara McField Ray (Johnny,) and the late Gus McField Jr. Nieces Tiffany N. Cloud (Cedric,) Shambra Poole and a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jacqueline McField Dwyer affectionately known by all as Jackie became part of the Dwyer family March 18th, 1993, when she married Wilbert Dwyer. Jackie was immediately accepted into the Dwyer family due to her sweet and lively spirit. Jackie worked at several jobs but the longest was at the New Orleans Veterans Hospital from 1993 to 2012 where she retired due to an injury. She was always ready to offer aid to anyone in need of help and was loved by all who knew her. She also loved family gatherings and social events. Jackie was close to her immediate and bonus family. Even though due to her health she could not attend services she still tithed to her home church New Zion. She knew and loved the Lord and always said “I’m praying for you" not thinking about herself and her situation. She leaves to mourn her passing her loving husband of many years Wilbert Dwyer.

Jackie has five brother in laws and two sister in laws, Madelyn Dwyer Slusher (Mervin), Lewis Dwyer (Erma), Daryl Dwyer, Ronald Dwyer (Charmaine), Joseph Dwyer, Donald Dwyer (Lisa), and Malvina Dwyer Johnson (Bernard). Also, a host of nieces, nephews, greater nieces and great nephews. Her presence will definitely be missed because she added life to any gathering she attended. In her better days she enjoyed traveling and visiting family and her many friends. The memory of Jackie will remain in our hearts and minds for many years to come.
