Janet Trauth

May 18, 1953 — August 3, 2021

Janet Trauth went home to the Lord on August 3, 2021. She was a long-time Harvey resident, a graduate of L.W. Higgins High School, and a retired administrative assistant for the Canal Barge Company. Janet was a loving wife of thirty-six years to her husband David Trauth and caring mother to Jamie Bordelon (Neil), Cassie Ruffino (Neal), and Adam Trauth {Kiley). She adored her four granddaughters Charlotte Trauth, Addilyn Trauth, Quinn Trauth, and Isabella Ruffino. She also leaves behind her sisters Linda Bourg and Patricia Johnson (Thomas) as well as several cousins and close friends. She often referred to her family as “her world” and was a truly wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her mother Margaret Donaldson Crochet and father Elward Crochet. Janet was a treasure to this world and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Janet’s family takes comfort in knowing they will one day be reunited in paradise and plan to keep her spirit alive with the abundance of memories, laughs, and good times that she created. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 11am. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 9am until 11am. Family and friends can view and sign the online guest book at www.mothefunerals.com .
