James "Jimmy" "Jimbo" Trabeau

James “Jimmy” “Jimbo” Trabeau went home to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 7, 2021 at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Irene Edgecombe Trabeau by second marriage and the late Karen Russell by first marriage. Father of Misty Rousse (Chad) and Russ Trabeau (Tanya). Step-father of Vjeko Vrcic (Jamie), Stasi Sanders (Billy) and Kathi Kane (Patrick). Grandfather of Ilyssa, Micah, Miriam, Elijah, Kyle, Kaleb, Gracie, Vjeko, Ivo, Ava and Paisley. Great-grandfather of Brayden and Damion. Brother of Berndelle “Duggie” Reno, the late Percy “Bugs” Trabeau Jr. and Judy Babin. Son of the late Gertie Coutee Trabeau and Percy Trabeau. Also survived by loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jimmy worked as an insulator for Insulators Local No. 53. He later worked as a commercial fisherman for many years. Jimmy departed this life as a man of God was a member of Trinity Methodist Church in Buras. In his spare time, he ran a small sawmill and provided lumber products to friends and relatives for houses and projects. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Jimmy will be sadly missed.

Visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 from 9am to 11am. Services will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private.
