James "Jim" Carl Alford

May 12, 1941 — February 5, 2018

James "Jim" Carl Alford passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Karen Johnson Alford for 54 years. Father of Annette Alford Marks (Jon), and Sharon Alford Linden (Darrell). Son of the late Vinell and J.C. Alford Sr. Brother of Cullen Alford and Sandra Cindrich. Grandfather of Jaimee Brown (Travis), Lindsey Guillot (Bryan), Ashley Howard (Mark), and Alyssa Linden. Great grandfather of Ruth Frances Brown, and Lorelai Mae Guillot. Also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He retired from Manufab, Inc. after 29 years of service and loved fishing and water sports. He was a native of Colfax, LA and a resident of the Westbank for 53 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 11am. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6pm until 8pm and again on Friday morning from 10am until 11am. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the physicians and medical staff at West Jefferson Medical Center for their genuine care and concern. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Show Hope at showhope.org/give, an organization that helps orphans and foster children find a forever home.
