Jacqueline "Jackie" Marie Hanley Hano

Jacqueline “Jackie” Marie Hanley Hano passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at the age of 86. She was the beloved wife of the late Jerry Joseph Hano, Sr. for 60 years. She was preceded in death by her son Jerry ‘Smokey’ Hano, Jr. (Vickie), her brothers James ‘Jim’ Hanley and Raymond ‘Ray’ Hanley (Janet). Daughter of the late James J Hanley, Sr. of New Orleans and the late Ella Mae Hebert of Houma, LA. She is survived by her son Michael A Hano (Carmen), grandchildren Raven and Clint, and many nieces and nephews. She was a lifelong resident of Algiers, LA. She graduated from Martin Behrman High School in 1954. Jackie worked in Security at Sears & Roebuck for many years. She taught Catechism at St. Julian Eymard Church and attended Mass at Holy Name of Mary Church. After Mass she enjoyed going to Common Grounds Cafe with friends. Her favorite pastime was being in the sun by the pool or going to the Beach. She loved watching Football, Baseball and Hallmark movies. She was a great cook and avid reader. She adored her Catahoula dog, Diablo. Jackie will be missed by all who knew her kind and gentle soul. Services will be private.
